We are looking for a Project Manager with $1,000 Sign-On Bonus for the Center of Excellence at Heritage Healthcare.
 
Location: Anaheim, CA
Work Schedule:  Full time - 80 Biweekly Hours
Shift: 8-hour, Days
 
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Manager or Director of Performance Improvement , manages, coordinates and provides leadership to a wide variety of projects for Medical Group Operations to support complex administrative and operational support activities. This position will supervise projects and departmental activities to help align Heritage's goals through the engagement of staff and physicians in support of the mission, vision and values, strategic plan and priorities. In addition, this position collaborates with other St. Joseph Heritage Healthcare managers to update on activities and collaborate on system-wide initiatives. 
 
Essential Functions:
  • Supervises day-to-day projects and activities in accordance with specified guidelines to ensure quality and/or quantity goals are met. Identifies, coordinates and implements projects and/or programs to improve the quality and cost effectiveness of operations.
  • Ensures projects are completed on schedule following established procedures and schedules. Estimates personnel needs and assigns work to meet completion dates.
  • Develops operating and customer service procedures. Ensures compliance with department/organization policies/procedures. May perform, especially in staff or professional groups, ongoing operational tasks of organizational units.
  • Serves as a liaison between management, other departments, and/or members. Assists in resolving problems and complaints from departments, other managers, employees or patients.
  • Identifies, coordinates and implements projects/programs to improve the quality and cost-effectiveness of operations.
  • Coordinates multiple projects, orchestrates meetings, and develops timelines.
  • Assists management team with development of short and long-range departmental goals and objectives for project completion.
  • Ensures compliance with department/organization policies/procedures.
  • Support performance improvement related activities.
  • Implement programs to support regional operations efforts including areas of performance such as quality, HCC, utilization, performance improvement, and cost control.
  • Oversight of operational programs including ongoing improvements and upgrades needed to ensure optimum performance.
  • Supports executive, core and sub committees by managing the creation of project deliverables including planning meetings, setting agendas, taking meeting minutes and reporting status update
  • Facilitates teams of clinical and business subject matter experts through design sessions to create regional standards including best practices to meet SJH regional cost quality and patient experience goal
  • Presents project risks, issues and key decisions to senior leadership and facilitate discussions for proper resolution. Ensures projects are well coordinated, are completed on-time and stay on-budge
  • Facilitates resolution of project conflicts through effective communication and interaction; mentor staff on how to be effective project team members. Manages the activities of the project team members
 
 Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects, use time management skills and independent judgment.
  • Skilled in a variety of software applications.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities; team player, tactful and diplomatic.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills required to communicate effectively with all levels of management internal/external.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team within a highly collaborative atmosphere, including local and corporate entities.
  • Ability to take direction from multiple sources and follow through on assignments.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to manage a small team, serving as a leader and mentor.
  • Excellent communications skills, including exceptional command of written communications.
  • Possess knowledge of core tenets of new and traditional marketing, public relations and communications.
  • Ability to develop and lead the implementation of communications plans and activities.
  • Possess clear thinking and influencing skills to develop and gain buy-in for strategic communications plans.
  • Must be self-motivated / flexible / and well organized.
  • Ability to create and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders at all levels of the business.
  • Ability to use time management skills and independent judgment.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously – resilient multi-tasker.
  • Excellent project management / organizational abilities.

  • Ability to identify potential risks and points of resistance and develop specific communications plans to mitigate or address the concerns.
  • Ability to travel within St. Joseph Health locations.
 
Minimum Position Requirements:
Education:  Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field or High School Diploma/GED plus 4 years relevant experience and appropriate certifications.
Experience: 3 years Project management experience
Licenses/Certifications: 
  • Valid California Driver’s License.
  • Travel between SJHS locations
 
Preferred Position Qualifications:
Experience: Experience with procedures/policies/regulations in a specific functional area.
Licenses/Certifications: Certificate in Project Management.
