Procedural Scheduler - Heritage General Surgery
We are looking for a Procedural Scheduler for the Harrison General Surgery Department at St. Joseph Heritage Healthcare.
Location: Eureka, CA
Work Schedule: Part time - 40 Biweekly hours
Shift: 8 hour, Days
Job Summary:
Responsible for physician patient schedules, monitoring of physician call schedule changes, cash management, and ACD (Automated Call Delivery) oversight. Supports the training programs developed by the Site Operations Director/Reception Supervisor. Supports the Site Operations Director/Reception Supervisor in all strategic goals developed to collaborate with the Business Office, Clinical Department and St. Joseph Heritage Medical Group.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for daily changes and corrections to provider schedules according to: On Call calendars, vacation schedules, trainings or seminars and Holiday hours. Distribute the bump list to appropriate suites and staff.
- Responsible for understanding Chapman phone system, PBX coverage and supports management with completion of TeleVox report.
- Develops New Physician schedules on IDX/Advance Web with assistance from management: New Provider Master schedules, templates, appointment types and orientation schedule modification.
- Responsible for reporting provider’s worked hours and PTO on Kronos system and forwards information to payroll department.
- Supports Management according to daily needs with coverage for breaks, lunch or suites as needed.
Skills:
- Familiarity with MS Word and Excel and emailing system required.

Minimum Position Qualifications:
Experience:
- 2 years experience in an ambulatory or acute care setting.
- 2 years experience as a Receptionist Lead in an ambulatory or acute care setting.
Preferred Position Qualifications:
Education: Medical Assistant, Billing, or Front Office Management certification from an accredited vocational school.
Experience: MS Word, Excel and IDX experience.
Licenses/Certifications: Medical Assistant certification
